We’re now into the last week of the 2012 NFL regular season. This week my best bets are all teasers that I’m confident will win if you get the odds listed.
If you follow my column you’ll know that I normally post weekly straight bets as well, but this weekend I’ve decided to just post my best teaser bets.
Where to Bet NFL Teasers
As I’ve told you guys all season the only place to wager on NFL teasers is 5Dimes. They have the best variety of teaser bets and they also maintain the best payouts on teasers in the industry, which is good news, as most shops have lowered payout odds.
My Week 17 NFL Teaser Bets & Analysis
I missed posting my picks last weekend, but in week 15 I went 2-1 on straight bets and lost my teaser. I ended up exactly even on the week, which means that my overall profit on the season is still at +7.26U with just this week and the playoffs left.
This 3-teamer teaser pays +180 and ties reduce, so make sure you get the Bears at +3 just in case. Houston plays the Colts and they’re on the road, but they just need to win to lock up the AFC. With a 5-0 division record and a week 15 win against the Colts (29-17) I expect the Texans to make easy work of Indy who already has a wild card spot locked up.
The Giants at just -2 against the Eagles should be an easy leg of the teaser. NYG needs to win to keep their playoff hopes alive and while it’s unlikely that they make the playoffs I expect them to do their part and beat the depleted Eagles. I also think that the Bears will beat the Lions in their division match-up to end the year, as the Bears need to win and the Lions have folded.
I also like this over/under teaser a lot. In week 1 the Jets beat the Bills 48-28. The total is just O33 when you tease it. These two teams are struggling, but when they meet to end the season both will want a win and I expect scoring. Greene should have a big game for the Jets and the Bills should have plenty of scoring chances due to the Jets turnover problems as of late.
The Dolphins kept it close against the Patriots in week 13 (23-16), but with Brady most likely starting and wanting to win the MVP he needs to have a big game against Miami. Reggie Bush has been running the football all over the place the L2 weeks and if he can put up 100+ yards Miami will find the endzone a couple times at the very minimum.
My last selection on this teaser is the O35 in the Ravens vs. Bengals. They played each other in week 1 and the Ravens were able to embarrass the Bengals 44-13. I expect a lower total from the Ravens, but I also think the Bengals will put up a better fight in this game even though they’ve already locked up a wild card spot last weekend.
